Toanoi Jewelry

Private Label Jewelry Manufacturer in Thailand

We make jewelry that goes out under someone else’s name. Your brand on the box, your stamp inside the ring, your designs made in our Bangkok workshop and shipped to you ready to sell.

Toanoi has been manufacturing for other people’s brands since long before the phrase “private label” became common. Most of our work leaves Thailand carrying a name that is not ours, and that is exactly how it should be. If you have built an audience and you need product to sell them, you do not need a factory in your branding. You need one that turns up on time and makes the same piece the same way, the fiftieth time as the first.

What private label means here

There are two ways brands work with us, and it is worth knowing which one you are asking for before the first email.

Your design, our workshop. You send drawings, a CAD file, photographs, or a sample you want matched. We cost it, make a sample, and once you sign that sample off, we produce. You own the design. We do not sell it to anyone else, and we do not put it in our own catalog. This is the arrangement most established brands want.

Our design, your brand. You choose from what we already make, we adjust it to suit you, and it ships stamped and packaged as yours. Faster and cheaper to start, because the moulds already exist. Good for a first collection, or for filling gaps around your signature pieces.

Plenty of brands run both at once: a few signature pieces made from their own designs, and a supporting range built on ours.

Your brand on the piece

A private label piece has to look like it came from you, not from a factory. Everything below is standard work for us, not an upcharge negotiation.

  • Hallmarks and maker’s marks. Your logo or initials stamped alongside the metal mark. We cut the punch once and it is used on every run after that.
  • Engraving. Laser or hand engraved, inside a band or on the back of a pendant. Serial numbers, collection codes and edition numbers are all straightforward.
  • Packaging. Boxes, pouches, cards and polishing cloths sourced and printed in Bangkok. It is worth doing this locally: shipping empty boxes across the world costs more than the boxes.
  • Certificates and cards. Stone details, metal weights and care instructions printed on your own stationery.
  • Barcodes and labels. If your pieces go straight onto a shop floor or into a fulfilment centre, we can label them here so nobody has to handle them twice.

How a first order runs

The whole sequence, from first email to a box on your desk, usually takes six to ten weeks. Most of that is you deciding, not us making.

  1. Tell us what you want made. A sketch on paper is enough to start. So is a photograph of something similar and a note about what should be different. If you have CAD, better still.
  2. We quote. A written price per piece, at the quantities you asked about, with the metal weight and stone specification set out so you can see what you are paying for. Metal moves daily, so a quote holds for a stated number of days and we say so on it.
  3. Sample. One piece, made properly, in your metal and your stones. You hold it, you wear it, you decide. Changes at this stage are cheap. Changes after production has started are not.
  4. You approve the sample in writing. That approved sample is the reference for the whole run. If a later delivery does not match it, that is our problem to fix, not a discussion.
  5. Production. Typically three to five weeks depending on quantity, metal and how much stone setting is involved.
  6. Quality check and shipping. Every piece is checked before it is packed. We ship worldwide, and we will use your courier account if you prefer.

What we can make

We work in 925 sterling silver, gold from 9k through 18k in yellow, white and rose, platinum, titanium and surgical steel. Recycled gold is available, though it costs more per gram than the standard bullion rate and carries its own minimum, so tell us early if your brand story depends on it.

Production methods run to casting, stamping, handmade fabrication, laser cutting and electroforming. Electroforming is how you get a large piece that is still light enough to wear all day, and it is worth asking about if your designs are bold.

Stones come from our own sourcing, which is the part most factories quietly outsource. We are a member of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Association and we buy through the Bangkok trade, which is the reason a coloured stone programme costs what it does here and not what it costs elsewhere. Natural diamonds, lab grown diamonds, precious stones and semi precious stones are all in normal supply, and we will tell you honestly when a stone you have specified is going to be slow or expensive to match in volume.

Minimums

There is no blanket minimum order quantity. The minimum is set per project, once we know the metal, the method and the stones, because those three things decide whether a short run is sensible or wasteful.

As a rough guide: gold and platinum pieces can start small, because the material carries most of the cost and the setup is a smaller share of it. Silver runs want more volume to be worth doing, since the setup is the same but the material is cheap. Anything needing a new mould has that one-off cost to absorb, and that is the number that usually decides your first quantity.

Ask us for the real figure on your specific piece. We would rather give you a number you can plan around than a policy line that turns out not to apply to what you are making.

Working with us from overseas

Most of our clients have never been to the workshop. That is normal and it works, as long as the sample stage is taken seriously. Photographs and video calls cover a lot of ground, and we would rather send you three sets of progress photos than have you open a box and be surprised.

You are welcome to visit. We are on Sukhumvit 71 in Bangkok, and if you are coming to the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair it is a short trip to see the workshop while you are here.

Start a private label project

Send us what you have. Drawings, photographs, a sample, or just a description of the collection you are trying to build. We will tell you what it will cost, what quantity makes sense, and how long it will take, and we will tell you if we think you are about to make something that will be difficult to sell.

Email [email protected] or call +66 91 760 0505. The office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and Saturday morning, Bangkok time.
